  1. Thank you for this fix my friend, great instructions. I am using Win 7 64 bit with 8GB of ram and love it, so much better than Vista already and blazing fast. I have not experienced any issues at all except for this sidebar thing. It will be another mistake if they disable the sidebar when disabling UAC. I hate the UAC but am sure it will be useful to some. Thanks again!

  2. Thank you very much, works like a charm!

I’m in agreement with many others, so far I’m enjoying W7 more than Vista and I’ve been using V for quite sometime. The easy accessibility of the wireless networks and option of adding admin rights to temporary tasks is a major upgrade.

UAC removal took me a second to figure out, but once that was over, it’s been a great experience so far.

  3. Now if I can just figure out how to get 32 bit flash gadgets to work. I love the weather addon called “Pro Weather”, but can’t get it to work in Windows 7. :(

  4. Thanks for this.

I Download the utilities and save this page, First thing to do when I arrive home is try it.

    :)

  22. There is another “workaround” for those gadgets not functioning on Win 7. Try this, it worked for me when all the other solutions failed:L
There is a very easy solution for this problem:
    1. open the regedit
    2. navigate to this address:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZones
    3. Rt. click on Zones and export it to your desktop as a backup.
    4. Delete Zones and re-start your computer.
    5. You should be able now to display your gadgets.
