Apple iTunes is digital media player introduced by apple. The iTunes is used for playing and organizing digital music and video files. The program is also an interface to manage the contents on Apple’s popular iPod digital media players as well as the iPhone

Latest iTunes release which came out of Apple App store was iTunes 7.7, we always expect any installer to be clean in installation which out installing or at least notifying before installing any thing which is not related to main installation.

But it seems even bigger giants like apple too do not follow, many users have reported that iTunes 7.7 installer secretly installing MobileMe control pannel applet on Windows XP and Vista. MobileMe is a commercial product and many will find this another intrusive and unwelcome feature.

Here is way to install only iTunes 7.7 with installing MobileMe

Right click on the installer and open with Winrar

Extract iTunes.msi and skip the rest.

This is not 1st time where Apple has done some thing like this, in past their was a big fiasco over Apple for stealthy installing Safari browser just to increase its browser share.

This time apple wants to increase their MobileMe user base.
