Adobe has released Flash Player 10 Alpha build 10.0.32.18 code named “Astro” for Linux 64-bit. The 64-bit Flash Player 10 alpha is available in all supported languages; however, the alpha installers are only in English. Flash Player 10 is only available for download as Linux Plugin.
Flash Player 10 includes new features, enhancements and bug fixes as well as fix for critical vulnerability APSB09-10 identified in Adobe Flash Player (v9.0.159.0 and v10.0.22.87). Here is guide on how to install Flash Player 10 Alpha on Linux Ubuntu 64-bit.
How to Install Flash Player 10 on Linux 64-bit
1. Download the plugin to begin installation. A dialog box will appear asking you where to save the file.
2. Save the .tar.gz file to your desktop and wait for the file to download completely.
3. Quit your browser.
4. Remove all existing Adobe Flash Player installations from the system.
5. Unpackage the file. A directory with contains libflashplayer.so will be created.
6. Copy libflashplayer.so to ~/.mozilla/plugins. Create the ‘plugins’ folder if it does not exist yet.
7. Launch your browser. To verify installation in Firefox choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser menu.

I was just thinking about this the other day. Firefox hasn’t announced an official release for the public that’s 64-bit and Adobe is even worse. They are releasing the 64-bit version of their software to Linux; seems kinda backwards to me.
