WordPress 2.8.1 Final Released

It’s almost one month to WordPress 2.8 release however immediately after WordPress 2.8 release Wordpress Team started working on Wordpress 2.8.1 since several bugs were uncovered as well as some security issues with plugin administration pages.

Today WordPress team has released WordPress 2.8.1 final. WordPress 2.8.1 fixes many bugs and tightens security for plugin administration pages.

Core Security Technologies notified to wordpress team that admin pages added by certain plugins could be viewed by unprivileged users, resulting in information being leaked. Though not all plugins are vulnerable to this problem, but it is advisable to upgrad to 2.8.1 to be safe.
