Gmail with Multiple Attachment

Gmail Labs team slowly increasing frequency of adding new features to gmail. Yesterday we informed you about new feature which displays gmail unread message count in browser title bar. Here is yet another such small gmail feature update which will help you in sending mails with attachment.

If you have ever send a mail with attachment from gmail then you will be knowing that you can only attaché one file at a time and you never knew how long it would be before those bigger files were ready to send. The new feature added to gmail today addresses this issue.

Now If you want to send a few files from the same folder, simply hold down the Ctrl key (Cmd on OS X) and click on each file you want to attach to your message. You can also hold down the Shift key to select a continuous list of files. You’ll also see progress bars on each file as it uploads.

It’s a great yet small feature. But a few days ago, I have a problem with it. Previously, it worked ok. But now, the progress bar doesn’t move, and at last, it gives me an error. Oh, the files are small (even 7Kb txt files). I have the solution… although not good: if i use the previous version of gmail, the same files upload correctly.

Any ideas?

TIA

HELP!

When I’m at work and accessing a proxy server, I’m able to attach documents just fine, but when I’m at home and not using a proxy, I am unable to attach documents. It hampers my productivity and I’m even thinking of switching back to Yahoo just to be able to attach documents.

Any solutions for me?

Thanks!

Hi, maybe this is a problem of Offline Gmail. I have similar problem attaching files, but vice versa, I’m not able to attach files, when behind the proxy. No problem at all when in direct connection.

The feature is a serious bug that causes attachments to fail if > 50k. The error message is misleading and frustrating. Google have stuffed up this minor software upgrade very badly.
You can work around the non-feature by using Thunderbird.

My boss and another co-worker is having problem uploading files. What my Senior administrator had recommended is using https: instead of http:
Also I found files attach when using the Basic HTML page and not the standard view.

I also have this problem when I’m behind a proxy server.

I found that has something to do with the ‘Theme’ that is selected in gmail. Some themes have this problem an other themes don’t.

I don’t know the theme that work from head. Simply try it out to find a working theme.
