Some time back we had posted about android cupcake video, cupcake is latest in development update for Google Android phone. The interesting part of android cupcake update is, it can bring onscreen keyboard to g1 phone meaning you can have multi touch experience with G1 phone.
However it was expected that android cupcake will be available in January 2009 but till now there are no signs of cupcake update development completion. Arron la one of android developer has installed latest cupcake update on his phone and has posted some of screenshots of android cupcake.

Sandip: Multi-touch is not the same as having an on-screen keyboard. Multi-touch basically means that the touch-screen can recognize more than one input at one time; this allows you to use gestures with multiple fingers, like on the iPhone.
The Android hardware is already capable of doing multi-touch, but Google hasn’t added software support for it. I recall reading somewhere that it was due to some patent issue…
