Microsoft upcoming windows operating system Windows 7 has created big buzz before its actual release, although leaked Windows 7 pre beta build has revealed many new features of Microsoft windows 7 but still wait for first Windows 7 Beta 1 is going to be really fruitful.

Rumors has been spreading that latest leaked Windows 7 build 6956 is the Windows 7 beta 1 or at least its closest build to Windows 7 beta 1. Microsoft has already started gather pool of beta testers for windows 7 beta 1. In order to become beta tester for windows 7 beta 1 program you need to fill up three step survey form which is exclusively available to Microsoft connect users. The dead line of completing this survey is first week of January 2009, This date is some what closer to rumored release date of windows 7 beta 1 i.e. January 13 although there is no official words from Microsoft about this, even there is no hard deadline for windows 7 beta 1 release . All this is just a speculation.

Other alternative of getting windows 7 beta 1 is by attending Microsoft developer conference which we had posted a while ago. You might want to know what all goodies Windows 7 beta 1 tester will get,

· Early access to downloadable beta copies of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

· Access to private newsgroups to discuss the beta with other testers and with Microsoft staff

· Access to various online events that will highlight new features and allow you to interact with the development team

· The ability to report bugs and track their status

· An opportunity to help us build a better Windows by assisting us in finding and fixing issues

Well there is no guarantee that Beta testers will get RTM copy of Windows 7.
