ADVERTISEMENTS
Adobe PDF Reader is the world’s best PDF reader for windows as compared to any other available PDF reader. I am sure that majority of Windows user will have Adobe PDF Reader as default PDF reader. Adobe Reader is available for all types of Operating System like Mac, Linux, & Windows are very well supported Os. But what’s most frustrating past of Adobe Reader is Slow loading while opening any PDF file.
Its usually 10 to 25 sec loading time while opening any PDF file in adobe reader and if system has low Ram then it can became hell frustrating.
Here is a Tip for speeding up Adobe Reader for opening PDF file faster
→ Launch Windows Explorer
→ Navigate to the Program Files folder, usually C:\Program Files
→ Below this, navigate to Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader
→ In the right-hand pane, find the folder named plug_ins
→ Right-click it and choose Rename, changing it to plug_ins_NOT
→ Create a new folder named plug_ins
→ From the plug_ins_NOT folder, copy just three files to the new plug_ins folder: EWH32.api, printme.api, and search.api
See The Screenshot.
That’s all you need do. The next time you load a PDF file, only those three plug-ins will come along, and you should notice a significant speed improvement. If you need to read encrypted PDFs or if for any other reason you want to undo this change, simply close Adobe Reader, delete the plug_ins folder and rename plug_ins_NOT back to plug_ins.

That’s a handy tip. I use Foxit Reader now for reading PDF files. I have a small freeware that automatically optimizes Adobe Reader and speeds it up. I’ll soon post about that on SC.
