It has just been announced on the official blog of MeeGo that anticipated MeeGo 1.0 for Netbooks and Nokia N900 is available for download.

MeeGo is an open source Linux Project which integrates the Moblin project headed by Intel and Maemo headed by Nokia, into a single open source platform. MeeGo platform delievers no-compromise web standards and rich web experience to the Netbooks and mobile devices. MeeGo’s immense popularity is based on the fact that it includes flexible and powerful app development environment based on Qt.
The new release MeeGo 1.0 will support netbooks powered by Intel’s Atom processor. The latest release of MeeGo also includes the latest development platform Qt 4.6. While there are no big surprises in MeeGo 1.0, it’s just that it is heavily tailored for Netbooks and that’s it.
According to the sources, the next release of MeeGo: MeeGo v1.1 will be released in October this year and will support touch based devices as handhelds and tablets.
