In the morning we had covered how to play YouTube videos on desktop player. Now here is one more interesting freeware utility, which will let you do showoff in front of your school buddies. Irwin is the tool which allows you to play YouTube and DailyMotion videos as desktop background wallpaper. It may sound impossible but this utility does its job flawlessly.
With Irwin you can watch videos from YouTube and Dailymotion on your desktop instead in your browser. You can also create playlist and add to Irwin which will continuously play in your Desktop background.
It also offers different options such as hiding desktop icons or making your open window transparent so you can watch the currently playing video clip. Irwin doesn’t require any installation, simply download and extract file content and run Irwin.exe.
Though the user interface of Irwin isn’t best but has all the options right in front of you. All you need to do is start adding Youtube or Dailymotion video URLs. You can save all the added URLs in new playlist.
Once you finished adding video URLs you can start playing video on desktop background by hitting play button. It also has shuffle option and minimize to tray icon.
In order to play video in desktop background as a wallpaper you need to have decent graphics card with good amount of memory. As this may not work smooth on system having less RAM. Also apart from little jazz up this is nothing more than fun stuff. You will lose your productivity if you play video in background.
System requirement page for Irwin suggests Intel Core2 Duo P8600 (2.40GHz) or above processor and Nvidia GeForce 9500M (GF 9400MG + GF 9200MGS) or equivalent AMD Radeon graphics card.
