Weather is an important part of our daily life. Sometimes, a bad weather can ruin your entire day. Especially when you are travelling to a new place, a bad weather in that location will definitely spoil your day. It is important to have a good weather widget on your PC, to check the weather conditions of the place you are about to travel. If you are a frequent traveler, it is a must to have a weather monitoring application on your PC and mobile devices. So, today I’ve come with a set of weather extensions for Chrome to get instant weather updates of different locations on your browser. The list is as follows.
Storm Cloud
Storm Cloud is a simple Chrome extension to get instant weather updates on multiple locations. The app uses Yahoo Weather application as a source to provide the updates. After you install the extension, the Strom Cloud icon will be available near to your URL bar. When you click that, you will see a small window pop up with the weather update of your selected location. You can switch between different locations using the left and right arrows on the top right. You can add locations, change temperature format, etc., in the settings of the extension.
Yo Window Weather
Yo Window Weather extension is a detailed weather widget for Chrome. The app instantly updates, current weather information on your specified location with all the details of wind, pressure and humidity. The next three days of weather information will be available in that window. Move the slider on the top to see the weather condition at different period of time in a day. The beautiful animation on the background, make this app look more interesting. You can add multiple cities from all over the world and monitor the weather conditions quickly and easily.
Weather (extension)
Weather (extension) is yet another popular weather app for Chrome. After you install the extension, first you need to add the cities by entering its Pincode. Since it connects many cities all over the world, it will display all the cities similar to that Pincode. Click the “+” button on the right to choose the one you need. An interesting feature in this application is, it will display the recent webcam view of different places of the location you’ve chosen. Also the weather condition for the next four days will be updated and you can choose the weather source in the list box below.
Weather Bug
Weather Bug is a Chrome application, which can be installed on your desktop for offline use. It gives a detailed weather update of multiple locations in a single window. Whenever you open the app, it will open in a new tab as shown in the screenshot below. All the locations you’ve added will be available as separate tabs and you can see the complete weather information of that city on the right side. The next three days of weather information will be available at the bottom of the window.
Currently
Currently is a simple weather extension for Chrome’s new tab page. Every time you open a new tab in Chrome, you will get weather information of your location. Settings and other options will be available at the bottom right corner. You can set your location in the “Settings” of the application. Also, you can change the layout and style of the extension over there. You cannot add multiple locations in this extension, only one location is supported by the app. Similar to other weather extensions, you can see the weather update for next four days.
