Google earth for Android platform was showcased during the Google nexus one launch event, but it was not available for public use in their Android Marketplace .Finally, it is now available for you to download and gets hands on.It is supported only on the android version 2.1 onwards.So, users of Samsung Galaxy,Motorola Droid etc cannot use this, as an update to 2.1 for these smartphones is not available yet. Only Nexus One supports this app as of now.
This mobile version of Google earth for android phones incorporates many of the desktop features.In multi-touch displays one can pinch zoom into places and roam around to see the satellite images from around the globe.Most of the other common features like roads, borders etc are also included in this app.
