AJ and others with WI FI problems
Those of you who are having issues with WiFi after jailbreaking and unlocking with blackra1n RC3 (with blacksn0w) should reset network settings by navigating to Settings –> General –> Reset –> Reset Network Settings and then reboot the iPhone.
after the jailbreak i can’t reboot my iphone 3gs. if i reboot it i must connet with itune.my wifi don’t works!?

If you have a 3G I am sure you can. Just restore to 3.1.2 and use blackra1n to re-jailbreak and then unlock it when it’s installed in your new jailbroken phone.

you are supposed to be connected with iTunes, then after reboot you will have blackra1n inside your phone. use that to unlock.
hi i’ve problems with my 3gs after ran blackra1n, i cannot restart my iphone, if restarted, it became in dfu mode, (itunes cable screen) and then i’ve to run blackra1n again… a read about a new kind of baseband lock in OTB 3.1.2 iphones… somebody know about it? tks

If your ipt2/3GS/ipt3 is rebooting into recovery after running blackra1n, this isn’t a bug. It’s a feature. You need to run blackra1n every time to boot it. This ‘feature’, called tethered jailbreak, is enabled by upgrades Apple made to the bootrom and the fact ipt3 uses nand flash. …..say geohot

For the iphone 3G S when you unlocked the phone you must keep the battery full at all time cuz if the phone is out of battery it will ask you to plug in with itunes. Don’t worry just ignore that screen. All you need to do is plug the phone in and open Blackra1n it will reboot the iphone for you. Apple recently had changed the bootrom on all new iphones and right now the only way reboot the iphone is to connect it with Blackra1n. During the reboot make sure itunes is closed.

After unlocking my iPhone 3gs with Blackra1n, the ONLY problem I have is that I have to reset network settings and then reboot my iPhone DAILY, in order to get a wifi connection.
Is this a problem with you guys after unlocking with Blackra1n ?
From what I’ve read, some indicate its just a one time reset.

I’ve been jailbreaking iphones for some time now. Many in fact. Recently someone brought me their new purchase of 3gs on January 15th 2010. It was a bugger to jailbreak. I had to repeat over and over and of course, ran into the reboot problem everyone is having. BUT I had another problem that seemed odd. I had a wifi connection, but no phone connection. I rejailbroke though I didn’t do a restore(I had gotten this phone tweaked to perfection).I did the network resets, etc. Nothing fixed it. It’s not uncommon to have to run blackra1n a number of times to get it there. BUT no phone signal but wifi signal. Search internet. FINALLY came across blackweather, ran it, and whala! Signal.
But don’t let it reboot till Geohot comes out with something.

For those with rebooting problems.I got this answer from another blog.This means you got one of the very latest iPhone/iTouch from Apple with iBoot version 359.3. Somwhere in October, Apple started shipping iPhones with this new version.
Because of the new bootloader blackra1n can only applies a tethered jailbreak to your device meaning every time you restart of shutdown it will go into recovery mode and
blackra1n must be ran again to get it past the Apple logo boot screen.
Your phone will not lose its jailbreak, and all customizations will be preserved, but the phone will not be able to boot past the Apple logo screen on its own.i hope this helped!so,basically we have to wait for a solution!

try reseting your network settings ,settings-general-network-cellular data ,at the bottom reset network settings rember the apn mmscjust copy them reset the phone and paste over them turn off phone turn it on there you go

I am facing the same problem and this is actually a big issue for me.. i am using a 3GS with farmware: 3.1.2. and if i reboot the phone it is asking to plugin with itune! come on! is there anything to avoid that?? i am using my official sim to this phone and if i mean only if by somehow the phone restarts !!! man,,, i am dead! confirm! please suggest something positive…
