WIFI has become integral part of our life. Every where we go we are looking for wifi to connect to internet. Not only we have WiFi network setup at cafes, airports and restaurants but our homes too. Simply because Wi-Fi is one of the best ways for accessing the internet in and around the house. When compared to wired connections, Wi-Fi networks are much easier to use. And since there is no wire connected to your device, it is a great method of accessing the internet on mobile devices like laptops. Solution 1: Switch to DHCP Mode
Whenever you connect to any network, a unique IP address is assigned to your device. This also includes you connecting to a Wi-Fi network for accessing the internet. By default, this whole process is completely automatic and works without any issues. But you can also manually assign an IP address to your device according to your needs. Unfortunately, if you assign an improper IP address, you might lose internet access on your device. - First, press Windows Key + R keyboard shortcut to open Run on your PC.
- In here, type ncpa.cpl and press enter which will open the Network Adapters on your screen.
- You can see all of the network devices available on your computer inside this window.
- Now, right-click on the Wi-Fi network device of your device and open its Properties.
- Once you are inside its properties, go to the Networking tab and click on the Properties option after selecting Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- After that, open the General tab in the newly opened window and select the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically
- Finally, click on OK and restart your computer after which you will gain internet access on your preferred Wi-Fi network.
Solution 2: Update Network Adapter Drivers
All the hardware devices connected to your computer have their own drivers. These drivers play a very important role in the proper functioning of that device. Similarly, all of the network adapters of your computer, including the Wi-Fi card have its own driver. And if this driver is not functioning properly, you will not be able to access the internet. Such an issue can be caused if the driver is either outdated or corrupted. In this case, you can update the network adapter drivers using the device manager in Windows 10 by following the given steps:
- Using Windows Search, open Device Manager in your computer.
- Once you are inside Device Manager, expand Network Adapters which will show you the complete list of all the network devices available on our computer.
- Now, right-click on the Wi-Fi network device of your PC and select Update Driver which will open a new window on your screen.
- In this newly opened window, select Search automatically for updated driver software. After this Windows will find the latest available driver and install it on your device.

Solution 3: Reset all Network Settings
Windows has a variety of settings related to the networks on your computer. Due to this, for some users changing IP address settings and updating the drivers might not fix the issue. Thankfully, Windows 10 allows you to do so quite easily right from Windows Settings.
