Method 1: By executing the “SFC” (System file checker) scan

SFC (System file check) scan is a very efficient service available in Windows. When the user executes the SFC scan, the system scans all the protected files in the windows directory. If the system happens to detect corruption in a certain system file, the system will automatically replace the corrupted system file with a cached copy of the same file stored in a compressed manner in the windows directory.   1. Press windows key to open the start menu.
  2. Click on the power icon provided in the lower left corner. This will open the power menu.
