Torch Music comes to the desktop with new app

If you aren’t familiar with Torch, it’s a Chrome-based web browser that adds a lot of extra functionality. This includes built-in BitTorrent, as well as free streaming music. But you don’t necessarily have to install the browser to get access to this — the company offers an Android app and now is producing a desktop version of the service as well.

Here’s how to install it and what you should expect once it’s up and running. There are just a few simple steps to follow, so let’s walk through them now.

You can download the free app from — the file is 1,702 KB. There are no unwanted add-ons included, such as toolbars and the like.

At the end of the process, you’ll be faced with a number of options. All are enabled by default, but you may wish to make some alterations here, though that is up to you.

Once up and running you have the option to either log in using Facebook, or use a guest log in. Now you can begin searching for the music you wish to listen to — either by artist, song or album.

All music is free to stream, and there are no limits. It installs easily, and has a beautiful interface and makes finding music and discovering related artists very simple.
