The New Year is Almost Here — Create a Calendar in Word 2013

2013 is just about to turn into 2014, and your calendar is out of pages to turn. You can, of course, purchase one, or create your own using a service like Snapfish or Shutterfly. But you can take a cheaper route using Office 2013.

Simply open Word – it launches to the new start page, but if it’s already open then head to “File” and click “New” to get there.

Search for “Family Photo Calendar”, though there are other calendars if you should decide on a different look for your finished product. The template will need to download, so you’ll have to wait a few seconds before moving on.

Once you are started then there are a couple of options to choose from. First, and most importantly, is picking the year — 2014, in this case. You also have the option of choosing the day on which your week will begin, with the choices of either Sunday or Monday.

With the template open there are a few more steps you’ll need to follow. First, pick out a couple of photos that you want to add. Right-click an image and choose “Change picture”, then browse your network to find that perfect picture to add.

You can also choose from a few other options, for instance pick what font you want to use, and the color you wish for it to appear in.

There are a number of templates available for this — simply do a Google search to find them, but a simply, one-page version, this is the best option. If you care to get fancy, then there are other ways to go.
