Preview Images and Videos on Twitter’s Web Interface using Previeweet for Chrome

Twitter has an option to post images and share videos on your timeline. Everyday millions of photos and videos are shared in Twitter. Those images and videos will appear as a link. So before you click that link, you will not know what is behind that link until the user wrote something about it. Today I came with a new extension for Chrome called “Previeweet”, which helps to see the the thumbnails of image and video links in your timeline. If you have used Twitpic, you’ve seen that thumbnail of images and video links appear along with the tweets. Previeweet is gonna do the same on your Twitter web interface, let’s find out how.

You can download the extension using the link at the end of this post. Once you complete the installation, go to your Twitter account and refresh the page. You will see thumbnails of videos and images on your wall. It is a very simple extension, where you don’t need to anything other than the installation. If you don’t see the thumbnails even after refreshing the page, clear your browser cache and then refresh the page. Due to lack of space, it may take some time to reflect on your browser.

It won’t show you the preview of webpage links on your wall. Only the image and video links from the supported services. Right now Previeweet supports more than ten popular image and video sharing services. It includes Default Twitter pic and video, Dribble, Instagram, Facebook, Photobucket, etc. So if  you can’t see the thumbnail of a link, it means that image or video sharing service is not supported by the extension. The thumbnails will also carry the icon of the image or video service from which the link is shared.

Instead of blindly clicking the links on tweets, Previeweet will give you an idea about what’s behind the scene. In other case, if it appears as links, you may miss some of the important images and videos. So Previeweet is a must have extension for Twitter lovers.
