Hide Folders on Windows 7 By Camouflaging as System Folder with Disguise Folders

We have seen numerous tools from hiding to encrypting to password protecting your secrete folders on Windows. But none of them was as creative as the one which we will be talking about in this post. Disguise Folders is the tool developed by one of enthusiasts from WindowsClub. Disguise Folder is freeware utility to hide folder by disguising them as system folder.

It not just changes the icon of the folder to system folder but every time when any other user attempts to open it will actually see the Windows Update dialog box. Disguise Folder offers following disguising options for hiding folders on Windows 7,

Action Center, Personalization, Power Options, Show Desktop, Fonts, Performance, Libraries, Recycle Bin, Display, System, Troubleshooting, Windows Update, Programs and Features, User Accounts, Notification Area, Homegroup.

Click on Disguise to browse and select the folder you want to camouflage and select the option you would like to hide it as. Then hit the Disguise Now button.

To recover the folder you need to click on recover and button and browse and select the folder you previously camouflaged and hit recover now option.

Disguise Folders is must have utility for those who want to secretly hide folders without others noticing about it.
