Fix Windows 7 Sp1 Reporting Less RAM

Early today we had reported Windows 7 Sp1 crashes issue for which Microsoft has already released hotfix. Now here is yet another Windows 7 Sp1 issue which was uncovered recently. As per Microsoft knowledge base article KB2566191, Windows 7 may report memory incorrectly or lower RAM on a computer running on chipset which has integrated GPU.

The issue is caused when GPU on a chipset doesn’t support Aperture memory mapped I/O for e.g Intel GMA 3600 GPU. Microsoft has issued an hotfix to fix this issue, If you are running Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Sp1 may use below link to download & install hotfix Fix376424.

Please Note: You will need to restart PC after applying this hotfix.
