Fix Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) USB Drive Access Issue

Recently we had covered two fixes for Windows 7, one which was related to Windows 7 Service pack 1 installation error and now here is yet another Windows 7 SP1 issue which is confirmed by Microsoft.  The users using Sonic Stage Mastering Studio software that is included with the Sony digital audio recorder device may face an issue where Windows 7 Service Pack 1 fails to access USB storage device or it may take long to respond and fails with following error message.

Couldn’t find PCM-D series. Please check the connection

Thankfully the supported hotfix is already available from Microsoft for affected operating system i.e Windows 7 Sp1 & Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1. If you are one of those suffering from this issue may head over to Microsoft Hotfix download center and download Fix353150.

Please note: You may need to restart your PC after applying hotfix.
