  1. If I have a video file with the name xyz.mp4 and a srt subtitle file with the same name xyz.srt, will any of these players for Mac automatically load and display the subtitles when I start playing the video?

    I use BS player for Windows, it will do all the above plus auto search 3 of the main sites for subs when you start playing, Great! no messing around looking for files when there’s a movie to be watched..
