Few days back we had posted WordPress 2.9 features review video now for those who are eagerly waiting for WordPress 2.9 here is WordPress 2.9 Beta 1 for testing purpose only and shouldn’t be implemented on live website.

WordPress 2.9 has many new features. Some of the noticeable features are image editing, theme search, theme upload right from your dashboard, oembed etc.

You can configure automatic publish on Delicious where Delicious Notify will send the url, the title, the first couple of sentences, and any categories (as tags) associated with the blog post, straight to your delicious account.

1. Download Wp-Thumbie

2. Extract contents of wp-thumbie.zip in Wp-content/plugins folder

3. Activate Wp-Thumbie from WordPress Admin dashboard

4. If you uncheck “Add related posts to the post content on single posts” option on Wp-Thumbie settings page then you must add below code in your WordPress Theme Template file

Make sure wp-thumbie & wp-thumbie/cache folder permissions are set to 777. Cache folder will be created automatically once you activate and start using wp-thumbie.

Ans. If thumbnails are not appearing then checkout permission of wp-thumbie & wp-thumbie/cache folder permissions it should be 755.

if you see message “Php GD library is not supported” message then contact your hosting provider and ask for Php GD library.

vCrossPost is Windows Live writer plugin which uses ping.fm service to post on many unsupport blog engine. With vCrossPost you can cross post on Twitter, myspace, facebook, blogpost and several other 40 social networking websites. In order to use vCrossPost you must create account on ping.fm and use the API key to post via Windows Live Writer vCrossPost plugin.

Once you have registered with ping.fm you can select your choice of blogging network or social networking website where you want to cross post via windows live writer. You must get your own ping.fm desktop/web key which you will be need while setting up vCrossPost WLR plugin.

How to Use vCrossPost Windows Live Writer Plugin

1. Download vCrossPost pluin and save it in Windows Live Writer Plugin directory.

2. Start Windows Live writer and go to Tools->option and select vCrossPost from plugin section

3. Enables the plugins by selecting Enable radio button.

4. Click on Options button to enter your Ping.fm’s Applications Key (also referenced as User Key).

5. Select the service that you want vCrossPost to use to cross-post to your other blogs.

6. Click OK and every time you publish a new post, your post will be transferred to Ping.fm to post to your other services.
