Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta Finally Leaks

Around a month back on 4th March we had reported about Windows 7 SP1 Beta build and we also said that the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 will reach to Beta milestone by Mid-April. Till today there isn’t any Windows 7 SP1 build leaked on internet but finally after long time we are back with real leaking news.

Yes, the first Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta build has been leaked in wild. The leaked Windows 7 SP1 Beta has build string 7601.16543.100403-1630 v.159, which means that it was compiled on 3rd April 2010.

The news about Windows 7 SP1 Beta build is coming from Geeksmack.net, folks at Geeksmack has got hold of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta build 6.1.7601.16537.amd64fre.win7.100327-0053 which is going to leak soon on internet.

As present we do not have any details on new features, fixes & improvement that this leaked SP1 Beta build carries.

    I think for ONCE I can actually say that I am not in any hurry to get a Service Pack for Windows. Let’s just say with Vista, SP1 couldn’t have come any faster!

    This goes to show how stable and well liked Windows 7 is, considering how few problems/complaints there have been since the release (well at least compared to the monstrosity of problems/complaints from Vista and XP that we’ve seen over the years.)

    I really don’t expect much to go into the Service Pack for Windows 7 in terms of new features. In fact the longer they wait to deploy it the better, that way more fixes/patches will be bundled. Considering the number of times I install an OS at work or at home having a more “complete” Service Pack is always better.

    i agree for the first time i think i can hold off on a leaked MS windows release, I have been installing betas really consistanly since the Longhorn 5xxx builds, but ya know what i might ended caving and having to install it, for me Win 7 has been painless no issues at all

    Finally, after so many failures on microsoft’s side, something decent shows up. I really hope that it won’t be like Vista’s SP or XP’s SP3 which made huge performance issues… But hey, thanks to SP3 i completely moved to Linux, I have to give them credit for that.
