Using more than one computer does not mean that you need more than one pair of mouse and keyboard. With Synergy Plus, regardless of whether or not two (or more) computers are running on the same operating system, users can control them with the same mouse and keyboard.

Using only a LAN connection, Synergy Plus lets us transport our mouse pointer from one screen to the next. Not only can this be helpful in running two or more computers in the same room, but this can also be very helpful for IT professionals who are troubleshooting a computer in their office or building – the only requirement is that the computers need to be on the same network.
Like I mentioned before that the computers need not even run the same operating systems. Synergy Plus has workable versions for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Here is where you can have a look at the different versions.
The stable Windows version is about 7MB large and sets up quite easily. We can specify whether our computer is the server (the one sharing its mouse and keyboard) or the non-server (the one borrowing the mouse and keyboard).

In order to ensure that the mouse pointer travels from one screen to another only when we intend it to, we can set a time for which the mouse is on the edge of the screen before Synergy transports is to the other screen.

Synergy Plus not a KVM or VNC tool, but it does achieve similar results (but with added convenience). No need to press any buttons when you want to change desktops, and your keyboard input goes to the same screen that your mouse cursor is on.
