Apple Plans to Open 25 New Retailer Stores in China

The iPhones slow start and fierce competition in the mobile market in China have been reported for quite a long time and according to Fortune, it looks like Apple has finally started to make a real push in the retail sector. Earlier in the week Apple COO Tim Cook was quoted as saying Apple planned to open 50 new retail stores in 2010. According to reports from Fortune, it was revealed at the Apple Shareholder meeting earlier today that 25 of those stores will be in China. With heavy competition in China from Google, its obvious Apple is trying to make much more of dent with the iPhone and presumably the iPad this year.
