Blocking Weird Google Adsense Ad

Google AdsenseGoogle Adsense is the primary Earning source of many blogger, websites, forums. Usually Webmaster keeps tweaking Adsense position, location & style to get high CTR which in tern helps in making decent money.

It has been said many a time that Google Adsense Optimization may help you to increase CTR up to 7% and more, but for those, even after Optimizing Adsense doesn’t increase CRT is frustrating moments.

In such situation finding coz of low CTR or low Adsense Earning becomes extremely important. One such reason could be Wired Google Adsense Ads. You might be thinking what’s this wired google ads, then check below screenshot.

Now if you see this screenshot properly the first ad displayed in the ad unit is totally irrelevant with no heading and title. Who will click on ad which has title like “testing ad group”. Is this Google Adsense testing play ground? Or google has given freedom Gmail team to create as many Ad Unit they want. Anyways In such situation we have only one option is to use Google Adsense Competitive Ad Filter.

Here are steps to block any website in Google Adsense

  • Login to your Google Adsense Account
  • Click on Adsense Setup tab
  • Then on Competitive Ad Filter tab

  • Select Proper Adsense product i.e Adsense for content/Adsense for Search etc.
  • Enter URL of the website which you want to block and save the changes.

That’s it, we have done it. Please keep in mind that Changes will take effect within a few hours

BTW, the screenshot you’ve provided above is not that clear. Remove any alignments defined in the image code. The image is not that big and won’t break your design.

I still see the same problem. Remove the width and height from the end of the image code.
