Are you tired of having to reach out for a pen and paper every time you want to note down something you saw on the internet? Perhaps this approach is alright for short pieces of information (for instance, phone numbers) but for lengthier text, a pen and paper is too tiresome.
The alternative option employed by many computer users, including myself, is to open up Notepad and store my notes in a TXT file. This method works fine for me but being a blogger who works under deadlines, I would appreciate anything that saves my time.
Note-taking for me and you is now made tremendously easier by a little tool I discovered the other day. It lets us record our notes within our browser, saving us the precious seconds spent on opening Notepad again and again. I am talking about Chromepad.
Chromepad is an extension for Google Chrome. After the simple installation, it places an icon on the address bar:
![]()
When a webpage is open, you can simply click on this icon to drop down a text area which can be used as a notepad:

This drop down window can be resized according to our preference using the mouse.
The notes stored in this window stay saved even over multiple browser sessions. So there is no need to save an extra file with all the desired data we want copied from the internet.
Try out Chromepad and experience how easy note-taking becomes when it is incorporated into your internet browser.
