If you use the blacksn0w unlock at baseband 05.11.07 you need to stay at 3.1.2. iPhone 3GS users not having SHSH Hashes must stay away from iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. If you are really desperate to upgrade to iPhone OS 3.1.3 then PwnageTool 3.1.5 is for you.
It creates a custom 3.1.3 IPSW for you to restore on your iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS with early bootrom, iPod touch 1G, and iPod touch 2G with early bootrom.

2. Download Original iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware
How to Jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3 with PwnageTool 3.1.5
1. Start PwnageTool 3.1.5 & select your device (iPhone, iPhone 3G,iPod Touch 2G)
2. PwnageTool 3.1.5 will display the firmware installed on your iPhone/iPod Touch
3. Click on NO when following prompt is displayed
“Do you have an iPhone contract that would activate normally through iTunes?”:
4. PwnageTool 3.1.5 will now create the custom .ipsw file for your iPhone which will be jailbroken.
5. Once custom ipws file is created you need to restore iPhone to this custom firmware 3.1.3 created using PwnageTool 3.1.5. Click on Phone icon from iTunes sidebar and now press and hold “Alt” key and click on Restore button in iTunes and then release “Alt” button.
Select custom iPhone 3.1.3 firmware ipsw file when iTunes prompt
6. Now wait for iTunes to complete iPhone 3.1.3 restoration, Once installation is done your iPhone will restart automatically, if you followed all of above steps properly then you will have your jailbroken iPhone with 3.1.3 OS

AFTER ACCIDENTALLY UPGRADING TO 3.1.3 ON MY IPHONE 3G I FOUND OUT I COULDNT DOWNGRADE OR JAILBRAKE 3.1.3 ON WINDOWS OR SO I THOUGHT AFTERSTRUGGLING FOR 2 DAYS I FOUND OUT THAT IF I CREATED THE CUSTOM .IPSW USING PwnageTool 3.1.5 ON MY MAC AND THEN SAVING THE .IPSW ON A FLASH DRIVE AND TRANFERING IT TO MY WINDOWS PC AND RESTORING MY IPHONE USING THE CUSTOM .IPSW I HAD TRANSFERED FROM MY MAC BY PRESSING SHIFT WHILE PRESSING RESTORE AND SELECTING THAT CUSTOM .IPSW. KNOW HAVE A 3G JAILBROKEN IPHONE 3G RUNING 3.1.3 DONE ON WINDOWS :) HOPE I HELPED EMAIL ME AND ILL SEND U MY .IPSW FILE AT EMORA92@GMAIL.COM

i have a iphone 3gs 32gb phone i unlocked my phone fron blackra1n but when the phone is switch off i have blackra1n again. can t i stop that thing… my phone version is 3.1.2

i run on mac, everything is smooth and works well exept restoring it to my iphone 3gs boght from australia so it´s not locked to any carrier…
but jailbreake dosn´t work =/ it sits in the collecting information/preparing iphone for restore for about 5 mins then it just says ERROR 1604 =/
