We have published guide to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 using Redsn0w 0.9.4 now here is good news for iPhone 2G/3G & 3GS owners latest version of sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 has been released which can jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 2G, 3G and 3GS with old boot rom and also preserves the iPhone baseband.
Now using Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 you can unlock your iPhone 3G/3GS 3.1.3 with Ultrasn0w 0.92. This will only work if you haven’t updated to stock firmware 3.1.3. The procedure to unlock iPhone 3.1.3 is quite easy just follow simple steps and get your iPhone 3.1.3 unlocked.
1. Download Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 and jailbreak your iPhone 3G & 3GS 3.1.3 OS for iPhone 2G 3.1.3 you can use Redsn0w 0.9.3
2. Once you have jailbreaked your iPhone 3.1.3 you can go to Cydia under manage tab then access sources. (T-Mobile users should disable 3G before installing Ultrasn0w)
3. Now edit and add http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com source url and click on Add sources.
4. Now search for ultrasn0w 0.92 and install it. It will automatically unlock your iphone.
5. Now restart your iPhone and enjoy unlocked iPhone 3G/3GS 3.1.3

It’s possible to unlock and jailbreak your iphone 2g. Go on google and search up iphone 2g 3.1.2 firmware. Then put your iphone on restore mode (Don’t know how, search up on google).
When on restore mode, (PC = hold shift button and click restore and locate your file through that way.) (Mac = Option + Click and locate your file through that way )

Just wanted to let you all know that there is no solution available to jailbreak 3.1.3 at the moment. If your iphone is already jail broken then and only then you can downgrade your phone otherwise dont try any softwares at the moment as it wont help… iPhone 3Gs restore option checks the firmware version from apple server so there is no way you can by pass that .. there is a mirror server available but I tried it ..doesnt help … you can edit your host file by adding this mirror server [74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com ] … but this doesnt help as well …

Wow!! There is no current unlocking method if u upgraded to 3.1.3 thru Itunes. U just have to wait for dev team or geohot. It sucks but never upgrade until there is a green light

Currently there is no solution on unlocking 3.1.3.. You all have to wait for proper hack..
I heard that proper hack will be released after iPad is launched, i.e. at the end of March or in April..
So, try to avoid updating to 3.1.3.

I accidently updated my 3G to 3.1.3 also. But we can’t do anything now. All we need to do is just WAIT :) So if you have an extra phone just use it first.. &I heard that 4G iPhone might come out during May-June? Who knows, so let’s pray for the dev team to release the 3.1.3 ASAP (:

Ya know? If more of you did your research you would see that there is no unlock for the 05.12.01 baseband, and there wont be one till july of june when the 4g comes out BECAUSE they dont want apple to find the exploit and fix it. The 3.1.3 update is a very small update, the update for the 4g will be huge and THAT is when they are going to release an unlock so just chill till then, the world is not going to end because you cant call your friends on your iphones. It sucks but complaining about it wont make the update come any faster.

I just bought an iPhone 3gs 16gig from a friend. I put my sim card in and it connects to my service provider no problem. Its on ver 3.1.3 and BB 5.12.01 and is an “MC” model. I realized that the phone needed to be downgraded. Go to Cydia and search and install ‘fuzzyband’ hit downgrad and it should downgrad your baseband to 5.08.
Once I did this. It took maybe about 5-10 minutes to receive text messages that a friend had sent me a while back. I didn’t even to continue to downgrade the firmware from 3.1 to 3.0. As I had originally had planned on doing. For full details go to link below. Hope this aids everyone here!!!

first: jailbreak ur iphone using redsnow 0.9.4 but choose the fw 3.1.2..
after U jb ur iphone go to Cydia.
2nd: In cydia go to manage then source, tap the edit and add this repo, http://podulo.com
3rd: In podulo repo tap it and look for ultrasnow 0.91-1 install it and that’s it>… U have successfully unlock ur iphone!!!

As most some people have said – they probably wont release until version 4.0 is out. If they did then v 4.0 would no doubt fix the exploit and then we’d have to wait for a 4.0 fix too!!

There is no unlock for iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 yet. Stop asking why your SIM cards dont work. As of right now, there are only jailbreaks using Spirit.

Hi this doesn’t work but i’m using iphone 3G not 3GS 3.1.3 with a 5.12 baseband and i’ve tried all this crap and i’ll tell you it doesn’t work but I have found a way to unlock your phone with tethering now like I said I just have iphone 3G so I don’t know if this will work with iphone 3GS step one you have to jailbreak your phone if you haven’t already I used the spirt jailbreak step 2 once you’ve completed step 1 is to open cydia go to search and download and type in MyWi download that and it will automatically install a program named rock completely reboot your phone and you’re done totally unlocked and and ready to tether also this MyWi program is awesome.

It means that you are not even jail broken what to talk of being unlocked. The simplest thing to do is search for Customized 3.1.3 OS on google.
Download it.
Go into recovery mode.
Press shift restore.
Select the file that you downloaded and restore your phone from it.
After completion it will reboot and be recognized by itunes.
It will at least be jail broken and you will be able to sync to itunes and use it like an ipod touch.
Till date there is no unlock available for 3.1.3 5.12.01 so you will just have to wait till the time it becomes available.

A good idea is to go to a shop that unlocks phones and tell them that your phone came with an AT&T carrier. They might have a sim with them. This would be the simplest solution for you dude
its look like a lot of people are wit 3.1.3 firmware and 05.12.01 baseband (like me) sh…t we are doomed.

same as @umer, i am also facing emergency call screen after updating my firm ware to 3.1.3 from itunes and i bought at&t sim from my friend who came from US, then also it shows invalid sim. is there any solution to this

Hmmm that is really strange. With an original AT&T SIM it should have been recognized in Itunes.
I guess the only option for the time being is jail break and wait for the unlock to come.

hello, i need some help. I did everything what here is written. But in the end (after instaling ultrasn0w) when need to reboot device, after that still i cant use 3 network on my phone. Before that i used 3 network on my iphone, but accidently i upgraded to 3.1.3 and it locked again.

those of u who just need to jail break ur phones 3gs go to blackra1.com and download the application for windows and run it. Ur phone will reboot and be jail break eb
be detected in iTunes.
Alternately dowload the customised os and restore ur phone with it. That will also work for u.

I just hope it comes out soon. But one things for sure. I am gonna buy a factory unlocked IPhone 4 as soon as it is available cause I would rather pay more than be stuck the way I am at the moment :(

First off my uncle is going to KILL me if he finds out what happened to my iphone! So this is the story…
For a christmas present my uncle gave me an old used iphone(the original one from 2007) and he told me not to put a sim card in or else it would lock my iphone! So the next day i downloaded a new itunes version because i wanted to be able to download apps and it said i needed a newer version. I forgot what version it was though. So i was finished downloading it and then when it finished it said “insert a sim card” and it locked. So today i went to Walmart and the electricician guy gave me a sim card and told me to go home and go on to itunes and follow the instructions it gave me. So i got home and i went onto itunes and it said a bunch of things about connecting it to at&t in order to go on. But the thing is… I am not aloud to have a phone yet and my mom said that i cant connect it to any phone network and she wont change her mind! And so i canceled it and my iphone now shows a lock symbol at the top and itunes with the cd thing (logo) and a cord next to it. What should i do to unlock it! NOTE: keep in mind i cannot have a phone but i want apps! Also MY UNCLE IS GOING TO KILL ME! PLEASE HELP ME!
