maemo- firefox

Firefox is now available for  Maemo OS users and owners of the Nokia N900. Mozilla has finally (yea, long time)  introduced the first official version of  their Firefox browser for Mobile.

This mobile version includes many of its desktop version browser features like tabbed browsing, Awesome bar, Weave syncing etc. They have also included the most interesting feature the “Addons” which is a reason for the world domination of its desktop version over years. There are around 4o addons as of now, but the number is increasing rapidly. You can get them at  Firefox mobile add-on website .

Key features of Firefox Mobile are :

  • Awesome Bar
  • Weave Sync
  • Add-ons
  • Location-Aware Browsing
  • Tabbed browsing
  • Safe Browsing

Download Firefox mobile by visiting Firefox.com/mobile from your mobile.

Yeah the UI of firefox on the n900 is awesome if only it wasnt a laggy pos tho, if they could combine microb’s useability with the UI from FF if would be awesome, but yeah FF is pretty much useless unless the page your viewing is very basic :(.
