Firefox 3.6 Tip: Enable Visual Tab Switcher

Yesterday only, Mozilla announced the launch of final release of Firefox 3.6, and todayfirefox 3.6 we are bringing you a cool new trick to enable “Visual Tab Switcher” in Firefox 3.6.

The Visual Tab Switcher enables ease of use and very attractive eye candy to the Firefox browser.

Follow these steps to enable Visual Tab Switcher in Firefox 3.6:

  1. Type about:config in the address bar and click the confirmation button.
  2. Next, you will get the about:config page in the Firefox 3.6 browser. In the filter box, type browser.ctrlTab.previews
  3. Now you will get a single entry by the name browser.ctrlTab.previews.
  4. You need to right-click this entry and then select toggle to change its value to true.

That’s it ! If you had followed the previous steps correctly Visual Tab Switcher will be enabled in your Firefox 3.6 browser. Now its time to get a cool preview of all your opened tabs. Go ahead open as many tabs as you like with your favorite websites. Now to get a preview of all these tabs, just keep pressing Ctrl+Tab on your keyboard. You will get a preview like this:
