Lately Microsoft has started adding some really cool services like Windows Vista compatibility center, Windows Live OneCare. Still many feels Microsoft is still slow in getting things up and running. Anyways one more service Live Mesh Tech Preview, Microsoft has publicly released after close private beta testing.
Live Mesh is a new service offered by Microsoft that aims to allow users to access their data across multiple desktops, notebooks, and mobile devices. In other words, the service is primarily a syncing mediator for devices and data. Live Mesh is available for any Windows Live ID residing in US.
Features of Microsoft Live Mesh
All your devices working together
Just install the Live Mesh software on each device. Then add folders to your mesh. Folders are automatically synchronized, always available.
Access from anywhere
Anything you add to Live Mesh is available from anywhere, including the web from your Live Desktop. Your Live Desktop comes with 5 GB of free storage, and can be used from most web browsers.
Simple to share
Stay informed - Keep track of all the activities in your mesh.
Protection - Your mesh is password-protected with your Windows Live ID, so only you have access to it.
If you are outside the US and want to access Microsoft Live Mesh you need to change Windows operating system region and language setting to EN-US. Once you do this you will be able to immediately sign in to Live Mesh with a valid Windows Live ID.
