Try this solution. It worked for me: 1. Go to Start, type "Device Manager" and then enter. 2. In Device Manager, scroll down to Network Adapters, then click to expand 3. Find "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" then click on the right mouse button. 4. Select "Enable" Then go back to the Command Interface and retype "netsh wlan start hostednetwork". I hope that helps some of you.  For people with this problem: “The hosted network couldn’t be started.The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.”

Try this solution. It worked for me:
1. Go to Start, type “Device Manager” and then enter.
2. In Device Manager, scroll down to Network Adapters, then click to expand
3. Find “Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter” then click on the right mouse button.
4. Select “Enable”

Then go back to the Command Interface and retype “netsh wlan start hostednetwork”.
