
In past we had reviewed an application TweetMyPc which uses twitter microblogging service to control your PC. Now here is another great application TwitAction which lets you to trigger programs on your PC via Twitter.
You can define what keywords TwitAction should listen to and as soon as you tweet one of those keywords, the associated program will be executed. Click on the tray icon of the TwitAction application to hide it and it will sit quietly in your tray (on platforms that support trays, that is).
It’s advisable to start TwitAction from the console, as it relays on stdout info from the executed programs to the console, so you can see what’s going on.
You can configure time interval for listing tweets as well as test commands you have set for specific keywords
