Yahoo will allow developers to use their entire search index, Goal of Yahoo BOSS is to foster innovation in the search industry. Yahoo BOSS will not only let developers to use Yahoo’s Entire Search Index but also will have access to crawling and indexing, ranking and relevancy algorithms, and powerful infrastructure.

Yahoo BOSS is only available to the developers/users who sign up for an API key at Yahoo’s developer network.
