Yahoo is trying really hard to increase their popularity just recently yahoo announced two new domain name Ymail and Rocketmail for email registration just for sake of user can get email handler of their choice.
Now here one more news which is some thing similar google going from years, like Google’s CSE (Customer Search Engine). Yahoo has announced new initiative called Build Your Own Search Service, or BOSS. This some what resembles to Google SOPA search API.
Yahoo will allow developers to use their entire search index, Goal of Yahoo BOSS is to foster innovation in the search industry. Yahoo BOSS will not only let developers to use Yahoo’s Entire Search Index but also will have access to crawling and indexing, ranking and relevancy algorithms, and powerful infrastructure.
Yahoo BOSS is only available to the developers/users who sign up for an API key at Yahoo’s developer network.
