Hi, I'm not sure if I understand what you mean.
But I seem to have found a remedy for this problem, mentioned above.

1. Updated my graphics driver from 26.02.09 to 27.09.09 (GF 9300)
2. Switched Aero off

Looks like it's working now.

I haven't change the window yet, and you already screwed up the WMM, lol
If you don't need the library, you can use media player classic instead.

Hello people,
I have a very persistand problem wit WMM 14 and Windows 7 (RTM).
It was working for a short while, and now it freezes everytime I'm trying to use it.
Uninstalling and re-installing doesn't help.
I got used to the ribbon style, so I wonder if anyone has an idea what I could try / look for to fix that please ?
Thank you very much in advance !

Forget this stand alone WLMM file, won't work by only installing this (tested on win7).
You need to install the custom version of windows live setup (the 1.09MB version, not the big 50MB version), and choose to install the movie maker. The reason why the stand alone won't work is because besides the MM itself, it will also install a bunch of other things also, like the photo gallery (the dll file is from that I think).
