Download iPhone OS 3.0.1 to Fix SMS Vulnerability

Apple is quick to fix SMS vulnerability which was discovered by Charlie Miller and disclosed at yesterday’s Black Hat cybersecurity conference in Las Vegas. The severity of this SMS bug was high enough that with a simple maliciously crafted SMS message may lead to an unexpected service interruption or arbitrary code execution.

Apple has release iPhone OS 3.0.1 with fix for SMS bug and is only available via iTunes and can’t be downloaded from apple website, even jailbreaks and unlockers can safely upgrade to iPhone OS 3.0.1 as iPhone Dev team has already tweeted about redsn0w and ultrasn0w still works on OS 3.0.1.

How to Upgrade to iPhone OS 3.0.1

1. Connect your iPhone to computer and start iTunes

2. A message will be displayed to download OS 3.0.1

3. Click on Download & Install.
