Desktop Google Reader is still in beta stages and provides very basic functionality like viewing unread feeds with Viewing/deleting & starring functionality.

The Desktop Google Reader application is designed to be a WPF desktop client and required .Net Framework to run.

I tried this out, its pretty basic, lacks a lot of features including folders which I rely upon very much, I use the desktop gadget which is pretty good and now will be switching to Newsgator since they provide full sync
