Geohot and iPhone Dev Team are best at their work. Each one of them trying to come up with better way to unlock iPhone 3G 3.0 & 3GS 3.0. Few days back Geohot had released Purplesn0w which was claimed to be less memory consuming then Ultrasn0w unlock tool from iPhone Dev team.
Now iPhone Dev team is here with new version of Ultrasnow, Ultrasn0w 0.9. This time they have learned several new things from the source code purplesn0w developed by Kid hacker Geohot. iPhone Dev team has raised some concerns over Geohot’s method of unlocking via patching of actual baseband code but they have also found patching of CommCenter in Purplesn0w is more effective then running a demon.
iPhone Dev Team has reworked on ultrasn0w to come up with Ultrasn0w 0.9 based on Geohot’s Purplesn0w and have also thanked to Geohot for helping in improving Ultreasn0w. Ultrasn0w 0.9 will work on both iPhone 3G as well as 3GS 3.0 and has fixes for almost all random issues faced by users.

The procedure to download ultrasn0w is same, You need to add http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com to cydia and then install/upgrade Ultrasn0w 0.9.

ultrasn0w 0.9 killed my previously unlocked iPhone. after upgrade it just says searching for network. on iphone devteams website many people are complaining about the same problem. could it be that the ultrasn0w daemon is dying in the background?
Guys that happened to me I reinstalled it from cydia and reboot I then waited 5-10 minutes until it showed my carrier. Just be patient
i have 3g 3.0 firmware and it was working on ultrasn0w 0.9 and when i updated to 0.91-1 ultrasn0w
now giving me no service
please help out
I updated my iphone3g 3.0 to 3.0.1 from itune there got required to hack and upgrade did as per your instruction but while adding in source repo666.ultrasn0w.com get the msg bad Url o here is numerical 0 zero turned 3g off everything went on waste

How I can’t download Ultrasn0w 0.9?
I had the same problem after upgrading to 3.01 OS but was able to solve it by installing ultrasnow through Sinfull iphone source, just add sinfuliphone source to cydia and install it through there. You can find the source online just google it I can’t recall off top of my head.

Yes. I have same problem with the Ultrasn0w 0.91-1 version!
After installing it through Cydia on my iPhone 3G OS 3.0.1 is searching the network, but never found any network at all!!!
Please fix this bug?
