Wordpress 2.5 Image Upload I/O Error
While posting image on my fast google crawling I ran into image upload problem. The message was like “An error occurred in upload. Please type again” title of this message was “io error”.
I was like why all sudden this error. i was pretty sure that this problem was not related to wordpress upgrade 2.5 since I had upgraded my wordpress on 30th of March and after that their were many post with images inside none of them had image upload problem.
But I did felt this might has to do some thing with wordpress 2.5 upgrade so I googled to see is their any one who has faced similar issue and their was quite many people who has image upload issue after wordpress 2.5 upgrade.

But this error was not the one which I had. After thinking a bit I got it. The problem was with proxy setting which I had done in my browser for website mirroring tool. Surprisingly net connection was working fine but only image upload was having problem but as soon as I has removed that proxy setting from internet options ->connections->Lan setting.
So if you’re facing image upload io error in wordpress and you are using any proxy setting then do turn off while uploading images to your wordpress blog
