Those who don’t know what’s purplera1n, it’s iPhone 3GS 3.0 jailbreak tool. The first release of Purplera1n by geohot is only for Windows operating system, the good news for Mac users is here. As expected the Mac flavor of Purplera1n is released by AriX and westbaer.

The Mac version of Purplera1n is only for intel based Mac and PPC Mac users will get error. You just need to download Purplera1n and uzip the content on desktop and double-click the purplera1n icon to launch the app & Press the button that says Make it ra1n!.

Then follow on screen instructions to complete jailbreak. please note Winterboard doesn’t work with purplera1n.

Update: If you are not comfirtable with GeoHot’s Purplera1n you may use Redsn0w 0.8 to jailbreak iphone 3GS 3.0.
