ADVERTISEMENTS

Yahoo

Yahoo Mail is a second best and most popular email service after Gmail. Yahoo mail has dominated Email world for quiet a long time till Google entered with Gmail and completely changed the web based email service with unlimited storage space. Gmail has hit very hard to both Microsoft and Yahoo Mail.

Once again Yahoo Inc. Planning to attract users by offering free e-mail accounts under two new designations. Yahoo will start allowing users to register email under two new domain “rocketmail” and “ymail”.

Yahoo has started offering this new designation soon after its $80 million acquisition of Four11 Corp., which also includes the rocketmail domain. Rocketmail users at the time of the acquirement were allowed to keep their existing accounts

Yahoo hasn’t started accepting email under those domain names, The decision of offering new email designation is based on user difficulty in finding proper Email ID. We tend to choose email handler which is easy to remember or based on our surname etc. But most of the times those email ids are no available on Yahoo mail because of its popularity.

E-mail under the ymail and rocketmail designations will offer all the same features as the Yahoo domain, including an unlimited amount of storage capacity.
