JavaScript Bug in Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.13

Mazzila.org has announced a critical security issue advisory for 2008 which titles “Crash in JavaScript garbage collector”. Basically JavaScript garbage collection is done in order to improve performance by reclaiming garbage memory and returning to system and Firefox has its own algorithm for JavaScript garbage collection

A potential security problem is found in this JavaScript garbage collection however Mozilla Developers team is not sure of any known exploitable code for this issue, but they did mention that pervious such issue has found to be exploitable.

Thunder bird, seaMonkey, Firefox shares same browser engine hence this Bug is found to be vulnerable in this entire products too.

On 16th April a Fix for JavaScript Garbage collection bug is announced and latest patched version of Firefox is made available for download. Update your Firefox 2.0.0.13 to Firefox 2.0.0.14. You can also use Firefox internal updater. At the same context patched version of Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 & SeaMonkey 1.1.10 is available for download
