Upload .xlsx, .docx Files to Google Docs & Convert to .Doc

Google Docs Supports docx & xlsx

Microsoft Office 2007 new files format has broken the backward compatibility. Word documents created with Microsoft office 2007 word will have .docx extension and excel files will have .xlsx which can’t be directly opened into Office 2003 or any other older Microsoft office suit without Office 2007 compatibility add-on.

There are several other way by which you can open and convert .docx word document into .Doc files. Until now it was not possible to upload .docx on Google Docs but today Google Docs team come up with very useful feature to address this issue.

Google Docs now supports .docx & .xlsx documents for uploading growing the list of supported file formats. To import a .docx or .xlsx file, simply click the “Upload” button in your Docs List menu, select your file, and voila!

Google Docs will convert your document for use in Google Docs. Now you don’t need to worry about file format just upload & Google Docs will figure it out for you.
