In Office 2007 microsoft had introduced a new xml file format for word documents popularly known as .Docx files. Unfortunately .Docx files cannot be opened on Office 2003 without installing compatibility pack for office 2007 system.

But what if you don’t have Microsoft Office suit, then the only option to open any office doc files is wordpad but it wont open docx files. Here is nifty app, Word reader which can open and read Office 2007 Docx files and Office 97-2003 docs files.
