Mafia is fine. The stuff off Technet, MSDN, and RTM is usually the same exact releases, save for a few SKU changes. They all do the same thing.
Of course, I’m assuming that you’re downloading 2008 SP2 for testing, and not for production. Otherwise, well, you’re in for quite a surprise.

do not install this sp2, wait for the offcial release.

Those “wave” type updates are the files for manufactures and technet user.

I have the same problem with XP, I also used a “wave type” update, and after official release, XP showed me that it is a not legal version.

Is this a good release?
