Some time back we had wrote about TCP-Z latest version compatible with windows 7 which lets you to patch tcpip.sys half connection limit. For those who don’t know what’s half connection limit, it sort of restriction on number concurrent connection that can be opened simultaneously on windows operating system and that limit is 10 half open connections.
There is no negative effect of this limit on normal computer users but frequent p2p and bit torrent users may find some issue. If you wish to remove this limit then here is small utility half-open limit fix for windows xp, vista and windows 7.
Half-open limit fix can change the maximum number of concurrent half-open outbound TCP connections (connection attempts) in the Windows system file tcpip.sys. however every time you change the value of maximum connection you need to restart for change to take effect.
