One and only PDF file reader we all use is Adobe Reader which is definitely popular Free PDF reader but it has been rated as bloated software as takes Hundreds of MB size on hard disk after installation as well as it is very slow in loading.

Features of Adobe Reader Lite 9.1
1. Removed features and plugins not needed by average users.
2. Autorun and desktop shortcuts removed .
3. Start menu shortcut converted to non-advertised.
4. Removed Beyond Adobe and License Agreement popups.
5. Removed all auto-update features.
6. Removed AcroRd32Info.exe therefore no errors filling up the event log.
7. Form filling allowed.
8. Disabled the make Adobe Reader better dialog-box and “Create PDF using Acrobat.com” from the toolbar.
9. Cosmetic changes and removal of some other unneeded features.

ever hear of Foxit Reader????
200mb,wow! this was the reason 2 years ago to switch to foxit reader.
with 7mb it starts 10x faster, too.
I’ve been using Foxit Reader for so long since Adobe’s PDF reader was a big bloatware of sorts.
I think Adobe should come forward and launch a lightweight version of Adobe Reader themselves. They don’t seem to be listening to users’ feedback.
Adobe Reader Bloatware is no longer on my computer, and this lite version doesn’t look that lite. So I still use Foxit Reader.
