When you install a new browser, it asks you whether to make this browser as default. Once you choose to make it default, it becomes the default browser forever. If you have changed your mind and migrated to a new browser, how will you make it the default browser for your user account?
DefaultBrowser is a free portable tool specially made for Windows XP that allows you to change your default browser for your user profile only. In other words, if you make any new browser your default browser, it won’t affect other user accounts.
Just run the tool and it will show you the list of web browsers where you can choose which one to make default. It will also show you which browser is currently set as default. If the browser is not listed, you can select your web browser manually by pointing towards it.

Apart from some common web browsers, you will also find Firefox Portable, Avant Browser and many others in the list. Using this tool, you can set different browsers as default for different user accounts.
Note: It only works under Administrator and Limited User Accounts. It does not work under Guest account. To successfully apply the per-user setting, choose No when your Web browser prompts to make itself the default.
